Sales process and end with “success”. Then moments later, I occasionally get an error message (attached). Recently O got one that said the transaction was altogether canceled. I am currently out that money and Square has only said, yeah sometimes this happens…

From my experience, this message appears whenever there are unsettled transactions, the Payment process is interrupted before completion, or due to poor service/internet.
- Unsettled transactions are transactions that may include tips (digital or paper receipt tips). These can decline if the Buyer doesn't have money at the time of settlement (typically at your business closing time).
- Payment flow interruptions can occur when checking out a customer there if no choice is made during the Receipt or Tipping Screen, and X is used to exit the screen. This is interpreted as a cancelled or voided payment.
- Lastly, a faulty or poor connection to our payment processing system can also cause payments to become unsettled until a better connections is completed.
