I have an Ethernet Cash Drawer & a Star Printer TSP100 usb Printer that I have used with my Square & Ipad before. But I m just now setting in back up for fall festivals & I cannot seem to get the Square App on my ipad to configure the printer. But when I do a test print, it prints a Test Receipt. As when I used before, I have my cash register ethernet plugged into the Star Printer, and the USB coming out of printer into the usb on the Square hub. And because something isnt configured for the printer, the cash drawer is not opening when I do a cash sale test. Can anyone help?
At the top where it says Star TSP, does it have a green oval that says Ready? or is it orange. I have had this happen before and I had to delete the printer, then reconnect and set it up as a new printer and everything worked.

Along with what @rtfulk said you may want to make sure you have Cash Management enabled. Since your main problem seems that the Cash Drawer will not open. Here is more on Cash Management 5152-cash-drawer-management
I had this happen and the other thing I had happen is someone likes using the Key to lock the drawer and I did not realize it and it would not open from the Square App. Now my cash Drawer does not show up in Hardware since it is connected through the Network printer like yours is, but testing the cash drawer mine does open.
Hi-is your TSP100 still working for Square? I have this printer, and am hoping to use with a Square Stand, and the less expensive cash drawer. But dont want to pull the trigger on a large purchase until I know this printer will work with the square hardward I want to buy. How is it working for you?
I use the TSP100 Future print and they are working fine, Is the one you are looking at have a USB connection? here is a photo of the back of mine.
The grey cable is the USB that connects to the Square hub.
The small black cable goes to the cash drawer.
The large is the power cable.
