OPPO Find X5 Lite

Hello,

I cant seem to pair my android phone with the square device. I have an OPPO Find X5 Lite, has anyone else had this problem?

I had a look at our device compatibility page and it looks like the OPPO Find X5 Lite is currently untested which means that we can't guarantee that it would pair with the Square Reader. 

When you have a moment, please run through the troubleshooting steps below, but if it doesn't work again you will need to look at choosing a different device to pair your Reader with, let me know how it goes! 

Press and release the button on your reader to turn it on.

Go to your device settings and make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

Open the Square app and tap More from the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen.

Tap Settings > Hardware > Card Readers > Connect a Reader.

Put your reader into pairing mode by pressing the reader’s button for three to five seconds. Remove your finger as soon as you see orange flashing lights. If you see red flashing lights, you’ve held the button too long and you’ll need to try again.

In the app, a pairing confirmation will appear, make sure to tap Pair to complete the pairing process.

On Android devices, quickly tap Pair and Pair & connect each time you are prompted until the connection is successful. If the connection fails, start the pairing process over and make sure to accept all Pair and Pair & Connect prompts within 5 seconds.

Polly is correct the oppo find x5 Lite is not compatible....I am on a 3 year contract, I have even ordered a new reader, before I realized the incompatibility.....any chance you will update, or do I need to find a different company..sad, because I loved the ease of use and 'no problem too much' response from your team 😔
