My square is stop working

Good afternoon. Could you please help me what to do in this situation? At one point, the device stopped charging and the power button does not respond when pressed. The device is less than a year old.

I'm sorry to hear your device is struggling. 😫 I'm going to outline some troubleshooting steps below to try. 

 

  • Check the cable and power adapter. Try using a different compatible USB cable and wall adapter to make sure it's not a charger issue.
  • Inspect the charging port. Make sure there's no debris or damage in the charging port of the device.
  • Try a hard reset. On most Square devices, holding the power button for about 20 seconds can force a reset.
  • Try a different outlet. If you're using a power strip or extension cord, try plugging the charger directly into a wall outlet.
