Multiple Ghost Kitchens from one POS or Square setup?

Running multiple "Ghost Kitchen" concepts from one setup -

Square has a page on ghost kitchens that definitely makes the implication that you can have multiple ghost kitchen concepts with separate ordering pages that all come into one ordering system. It doesn't say if it's a feature specifically of the Restaurant version of Square, etc, and all the links from that page just go to the generic KDS product pages, with no info on the actual topic in question.

The only workaround I know is to just load three different web browsers and access orders from each, but you don't have the same ticket printing and control capabilities as you do from the POS side.

If Square does in fact have a specific multi-ghost-kitchen option, does anyone have details (users or Square cust service)?   It would be a game changer for us, and countless others!

Thanks!

Hey @Sam_400º I don't suppose your knowledge of Square products in the world of food and hospitality would stretch this far?

Your question has a bit of ambiguity in there, so anywhere I'm making an assumption I'll put an * & a note at the bottom.

Yes, it's really pretty easy*. Within your site you can have a separate page for each category, or indeed just specify the items on each page. Then they can all be checked out together when added to the cart & this will all show up within your order screens. You can configure the KDS to show selected categories, so if you have a workstation that only preps items from a single category then they don't need to see all the other items on the ticket.

• If however you set up each of your categories as separate locations these can't be collated on a KDS. The system is location specific, so if you kitchen is a single location then your square system should be too.

If you can give a good outline of how you want things set up I might be able to help 👍🏻

Thanks for the reply. We would be looking for separate branded pages for each concept, with unique url (although ***.square.site for each is fine), not just a separate category page for each under one brand, if that makes sense.

For example - say concept one is Burger Joint, concept two is Taco Joint, concept three Pita Joint, etc.  Each would need its own branded page, not just category pages under Big Food Joint.

All would be at one location (as per a ghost kitchen model). Combined checkout is nice but not necessary. The big hurdle is having all accessible from one station for ticket printer or kds (we use tickets, personally).  The new Square for Restaurants product page is vague but implies it can be done, but with no info (link just goes to general kds page, with no mention of it).

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks!
