We offer in cafe dining but have a significant takeaway business. I would like to be able to activate sending a text message to a customer when their order is ready for collection without affecting my dining in set up? Does anyone know how I can do this or do I need to integrate another app?

This is one of the things I'm trying to figure out too - currently there's no integrated way to do this within Square.
I pop the customers phone number in as the ticket name, then use Siri to send out a message when their order is ready "Hey Siri, text 07123456789 It's Pizza Time" & this works. Although it does bank on you having a separate work phone you can leave with the business when you're not there.

If you are using Square Online to process online orders on a website, you can change the settings so that your customers receive a text message alert when their order is placed, ready for pickup, etc.
To enable this feature:
Once this is set up your customer's order status will be notified to them.
