Hi,
I own an embroidery business and I would like to allow customers to add their names to the back of certain garments, I am currently using variations for size selection, what should I do to allow customers to choose sizes, choose if they want to have their name on the back of our garments, what it is, and I need it to increase the price of the original garment.
Thanks.
Hey @PirieEmbroidery,
To address your needs, I recommend using modifiers for online orders specifically.
Here's a step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Create a List Modifier for Name Tag
Step 2: Create a Text Modifier for Name Entry
Note: Text modifiers do not have associated prices, which is why this is a separate step from the List modifier.
Step 3: Apply Modifiers to Your Item
This setup allows customers to select their size, decide if they want to add a name tag for an additional cost, and enter the name they want embroidered.
Please see the screenshots below for reference:
For in-person orders, consider creating an additional item or modifier (e.g., “Custom Embroidered Name Tag Add-on”). Add this to the sale at checkout, and include a note with the requested name.
I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
