Is it possible to include order_id on the csv export from Invoices

This field is available via the API, but is it possible to include in the standard export?

Hey @TommyTransoils,

Thanks for getting in touch.

Invoices should have an "Invoice ID" field in the exported CSV, though I wasn't aware you could use invoices as a payment method for orders - where are your orders coming from in your example? An Online Store?

What we are doing at present is trialling the use of SQUARE as a POS system on our set up for one small part of the business. We create the invoice in SQUARE and the customer pays by card. The payment is Transferred to the bank.

However, as this is a trial, and to centralise financials, we are still maintaining customers, sales orders and payments in our legacy system as well a SQUARE.

To do this we are matching the bank statement from the bank to the invoices in SQUARE manually.

We can match the bank statement to the Transactions (csv export from SQUARE) in SQUARE, and so have access to the Transaction ID and Payment ID, but matching to the SQUARE invoice would be much easier and more certain if we had access to the object ID in the Invoice export as this matches the Transaction ID in the Transactions csv export.

If you can suggest another way to achieve the same aim, I am happy to use it.

At present, until we know that SQUARE meets our needs, we don't want to create any accesses via APIs etc.

Thanks

Hey @TommyTransoils,

I don't think this is something we'd be able to accommodate unfortunately - the fields that appear in invoice export CSV files are not editable.

If you're working with APIs, you might always want to ask the question over on our developer forums too - I'm not sure whether this info would be accessible in any other ways if you're developing using our APIs, but the developer forum would be the best place to ask!
