Did something change with how item costs are calculated?
On the edit item screen, viewing stock history would show the total cost of all units I have received into inventory. Now it seems to only show the cost of 1 unit.
Example: I receive 20 items each with a unit cost of $2.00. Under the stock history screen, the total cost for all 20 items just shows $2.00 instead of $40.00 like it used to.
This is also happening on the History report under Inventory Management.
This issue seems to be resolved now.
Hey @dolfloral,
Welcome back to our Seller Community!
Are you making the changes in your Square Online Store editor or are you making them in your Square account/app directly? Can you please provide us with a Specific item name?
Thanks, we will be on the lookout for your reply.
Hi @sayra,
I am making the changes in the Square Online Store Editor. Just receiving inventory as I have been doing the same way for last 2 years. An example would be item SKU D1042 which is 2" Succulents. Our unit cost is $1.25 per unit. However, after receiving 46 units on 3/22/22, it says total cost is $1.25 instead of ($1.25 x 46 = $57.50). This is shown on the "View Stock History" page on the item page, as well as History under Inventory Management. From what I can see, this is happening retroactively as well, all older received inventory is also behaving like this.
This issue seems to be resolved now.
