I have sent an invoice to a client who has a verizon.net address. she tries to open it and it says the following: " Your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now."
Any thoughts?

It sounds like your customer would need to make sure the invoice email would need to be added to their "Safe List".
Normally, they can do this by contacting the email host.
