How long should it take to see a payment in my balance

I took a payment and it has not shown up in my balance and it's been two days since the sale how long should it take

Hi @Mc13.  Typically, payments show up quickly — within a few minutes to a few hours.  However, there are exceptions to this, usually based upon payment patterns in your business.  For example, if you are a new business and your first payments are large and frequent, that might trigger a review which would delay funds becoming available.  Another one that could trigger a delay is if you’ve accepted a payment that is much larger than what is typical and average for your business.  And — though rare — sometimes after banks approve a transaction they can ask Square to review it because of concerns that have come up.

 

Usually, all of this resolves itself in a few business day (Monday - Friday).  If you haven’t seen your funds in your Balance by end of day Monday, you should call Customer Support during normal hours.  They can’t answer sensitive questions like funds availability here in this public forum, but they can look up your transaction and hopefully give you some insight.
