How can I add the option to insert card on my square device.?

We have two square devices.  My husband square directs you to insert the card or tap the card.  My device only gives you the option to tap the card.  I e checked our settings and they are all the same, as far as I can see.  What am I missing?

It would be helpful if we knew exactly what Square Devices you have ?  (Are we talking Registers, Terminals, Stands, Readers, etc.)
