Hi how can I stop invoices from being automatically generated? These keep recurring, but they don't seem to be "recurring series" as far as Square is concerned.
Here is what is happening. I have two customers that each get invoiced every quarter. I set this up about 2 years ago. I think it was called "subscription" at the time.
In the "Recurring Series" section there is NOTHING. It suggests I create my first "recurring series".
When I see the list of the invoices each invoice is listed on its own with a status of either "Paid" or "Cancelled". There is no option to "End Series" in the drop down.
Yesterday I spent an hour trying to cancel one of the customers. I ended up changing his email to my own so he wouldnt receive the invoices. I cancelled his last 3 invoices manually. None of those had any options about a "recurring series" or a subscription or anything indicating they were automatically generated or would have new invoices generated in the future from them.
And then what happened today? A new invoice was created for my client! Luckily it went to my email address because I changed his details in the system.
When I look at that invoice it has one item:
Website Hosting and Maintenance - 3 months Subscription
$165.00
Quarterly • Aug 4 - Nov 4, 2023 • Next bill Nov 4, 2023
So it is going to do the same thing in November, and there is nothing I can do to stop it.
How can I fix this?

As I mentioned in the other post. This looks like a Subscription more than a recurring invoice. For that reason, I recommend you look at your Subscription page on the Square Dashboard.
