Help Disabling Abandoned Cart Feature

I'm trying to create a website with student work for a class I'm teaching.  We're not selling anything.  When I try to publish, I get the message that b/c the Abandoned Cart feature is enabled, I need to upgrade.  How do I disable the thing?  The virtual assistant told me to go to Settings - Checkout - Advanced Settings, but I don't see a "Checkout" option under Settings.  I'd be grateful for any help you can give!

Thanks for reaching out to the Community with your question, it’s great to have you here. 


If you no longer want to manage abandoned baskets:

 

  1. From your Square Online Overview page, go to Communications > Abandoned Carts.

  2. Select Disable.

 

 

Once disabled, abandoned basket emails will no longer be sent. And if there are emails queued to be sent, disabling abandoned cart emails will cancel them.


You can learn more about Abandoned Carts, and upcoming changes to the feature that have been recently announced from the linked articles. If you have any questions, just let me know. 

 

Also, in the interests of keeping the wider Community up to date, and to keep similar conversations in the one place, I've gone ahead and merged your post to another thread where the same topic was previously discussed. Hopefully that will help Sellers looking for the same information in future, to find it more easily.

@hjcRegis This setting is in Square Online > Communications > Abandoned Carts, then you'll click "Disable" in the top right.
