Fixed % Discount on Category Not Showing Up

I created a 20% discount to be applied to an entire category, my location is selected.  Discount does not show up on my website.  I deleted the discount and re-entered it, I signed out of Square and signed back in, still, it does not show up.  What am I missing?  So frustrated!

Hello @RUSTYSHOVEL and thanks for your post. I'm sorry you're having trouble setting up a discount. There are a few things that Square does when it comes to discounts. First, there are TWO different ways to discount and they're called different things. If you want to do a DISCOUNT on items or categories, that is applied to items when checking out in person through Square POS or magstripe reader on your phone. But...if you want to offer a discount ONLINE, Square calls those COUPONS, and you have to do to your Dashboard > Online >Items > Coupons to set those up. In that area, you can create a new COUPON for a percentage off your category. And I don't think the coupon % off automatically is applied; your customer will have to enter the Coupon Code on your website during checkout.

 

I know it's confusing but remember that in-person and online offers are called and created in different places in your Square Dashboard. I hope this helps answer your question.
