FEATURE REQUEST - adding STORE CREDIT to a customers account

FEATURE REQUEST - adding STORE CREDIT to a customers account

This is a BASIC FEATURE that needs to be available.
Issuing "e-gift cards" is not the same thing.

Creating "discounts" is not the same thing.

Creating a "coupon" is not the same thing.

From a quick search I can see that this has been an ongoing issue and request from soooooo many users over the past 5+ YEARS.

I need to have STORE CREDIT associated with a customer so that when I create their next invoice that STORE CREDIT would pop up and get used to pay the new invoice.

This has happened when someone has RETURNED an item, or when they have ACCIDENTALLY overpaid me.

I also need a feature like this! Like the game shops I run a fish store and it's common in this industry to give store credit for fish or plants brought into the store. But gift cards, even digital ones, are expensive! I need a clean way to keep track of which customers have credit available.

We're a bookstore that needs to take in used books for Store Credit. How is not an available option yet?

Do we really not have an update yet for this option?

We could really use this as well, very interesting that Shopify and Lightspeed both offer this...

any update to this? this was a feature we had specifically asked about when we onboarded and are very surprised (and disappointed) to find that it is not possible AFTER signing our 1 year agreement. I will be perfectly honest, this and a few other features that are standard on other platforms is making me be almost guaranteed at this point to go back to lightspeed after that year is done.

I use appointments. Clients are always paying in advance. I am not paying the load fees for egift cards.   I cant apply the payment to a future appointment until they have booked the appointment.  I have to the customer comments and the info there and manually track in an excel spreadsheet. There should be a way to put pre-paid amounts on a customer
