Error message appears when removing last item from basket.

There appears to be an error with the shop basket code. If I only have one item left in the basket and click remove it displays an error message.

There was an error. Please try again.

 

Any one come across this. Does this need to be flagged with square?

 

I've also noticed if you then proceed to add another item the error message isn't cleared in remains in the cart. This will confuse and put customers off ordering goods.

@lettie16 have you got a link to your store? 

seems you’re doing a lot of testing before you go live, which is good! But can mean your browser gets a bit confused/clogged. This sounds like it could be the issue here but would be good if a few of us can check it out too.

@Sam_400º I'm a web developer so testing is inbred. 😀 Just tried it on firefox where I haven't yet viewed the site and exact same problem when removing and adding another item.

I’m def not a developer,  but have you got a link anyway? 

There are Square guys on the community who are really helpful & can pass on to the web team too if needed. For the. Screen shots & links are the most helpful so they can try & reproduce.

Yep true 😂.

 

Can't send a link as I have it password protected. But have messaged square with the issue and maybe as you say someone will pick it up here. In my opinion the code isn't clearing the message variable when the basket is being emptied but I'll wait and see what they say it's not a deal breaker as hopefully not many customers will empty the basket completely! Cheers for you help.
