Does taking deposits from invoices lessen the amount?

I was wondering if taking deposits from invoices is suppose to lessen the amount.

I'm happy to help but will need some more detail in order to better understand your question. Are you talking about requesting a deposit through Square Invoices? If so, yes, the total amount remaining on the Invoice would be lessened by the amount the customer paid for the deposit.

  this is how it looks when i have added the deposit amount, the balance itself goes up.

Who would i need to discuss taking deposits with invoices and it be taken from the full amount owed. Also why pauly alot for different subscriptions to things that should be included as a developer of an app or consumer.
