Discount when a certain Amount of items is added to cart?

I am creating a series of events. I'd like to offer a discount when a customer orders tickets to 3 or more events at the same time. Is there a way to do this?

 

The best I can come up with now is to create a "3 event package" item in my online store.

 

any other suggestions?

I see. My bad. Apologies. The path is Dashboard -> Items and orders -> Items -> Discounts.

Hi @paintapicture.  Discounts have actually been expanded a lot lately, and will do what you want without creating packages.  From your dashboard, go to Items -> Discounts.

 

  1. Create a new discount.
  2. Scroll down and turn on Discount rules for automatic discounts.
  3. Enter the quantity in the cart that triggers the discount.
  4. Select the items that trigger the discount.  Note that for online automatic discounts you can not use categories currently, only a list of individual items.
  5. Edit the discount rule.  In the case of my test discount below, I selected to apply the discount to all items after 3 are in the cart.  I could have said to only apply the discount to 3 items, and there are other options as well.
  6. Below that, check the box to automatically apply this discount in your online store, and your POS if you want.
  7. Save it.

Go into your site and test it.  It should give you what you want!  Let me know if you have any other questions.

I do not have a setting called discounts.

 

the only thing I can find is a button called coupons.

Discounts is not accessible in Online.  As I said in the previous post, go to Dashboard -> Items -> Discounts.  Do not go to Dashboard -> Online.  Discounts are shared between our POS, online stores and other sales channels.  Therefore they are account level settings, not Online level settings.  Coupons are ONLY for online store sales.

I forgot that I have Items as a shortcut on my Dashboard. Most people don’t. Again apologies.
