Did Square ever come up with a solution to do a price adjustment on a single item at checkout?

Did Square ever come up with a solution to do a price adjustment on a single item at checkout?  The manual blank variable discount helps, but that gives the discount on EVERY item purchased, not just the item for which a negotiated price adjustment was agreed upon.

@dmh151 you can toggle a discount on and off at the item level in the cart/checkout on the register/pos.  Tap on the item and scroll down and select the slider for the discount you want to add/adjust and it will only apply to that item.  If you go to discounts and add it, it will apply to everything.

If you upgrade to Square for Retail then you’re able to do a price adjustment for single items by selecting the item in the cart. I use the Square for Retail Plus so I am not sure if it’s something that will work in the Square for Retail free version but I know it works in plus
