Delay in Payment Settling (10/17/25)

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "Transactions hitting guests accounts late"

 

I have two restaurants on different accounts. Today I received a call from a guest from Restaurant 1 mad that we double charged her only to find that it was actually from when she was there on 10.17.25 finally  going through to her bank. So she thought we were up to something. I explained that it was just delayed for some reason. 

 

60 mins later I received a call from a customer at restaurant 2 saying that she just got a notification  from her bank that a transaction just went through but she was not there today. I asked her when she was there. She said 10.17.25. I explained that there must have been a delay and apologized. 

 

Was there an issue with the square servers settling on 10.17?

Just happened to us today from purchases on 10/18 and 10/19

Thanks for bring this up.  I have also received multiple calls from guest over the past 2 days about transactions showing up late. If a guest has multiple transactions they are being combined for a larger total. I had had one customer that 3 transaction were combined.  They were understandably questioning why they were charged so much.
