Customer Phone Field Error

Since you updated the customer directory and removed other data fields and now we had to add notes, which is not the same as the other notes field (They do not interact or merge). The customer phone field stopped working.

 

We copy client information from our website to square directory to have 1 master directory of clients, but the phone # field does not let us just paste the #'s. Instead now we have to type them in. Also the once inside the Phone # field, you can't tab control to the next field, you have to physically use the mouse cursor to get out of the field unlike the other fields.

 

Your directory update several months ago did not update anything but create unsuable fields. 

 

This needs to be corrected!

We do hear you.  We've escalated your case to the team in charge of this product and we appreciate your surfacing it.

 

The tab feature does seem to be something that is problematic, and they will be looking at this. The issue with pasting the phone numbers though is not able to be recreated. We'd want to know a little more about where you are doing this. Is it on the Square Dashboard or in App? And what browser are you using when you copy paste the information.


This will give us a little more insight to what is happening on your account, and how we can better change the expereince.

 

Also as far as the notes issue goes- you can create a Custom Field as a text field which will allow you to save and create notes that are exportable. If you like more information on that, I'm happy to dive deeper if the note function is not working for you and you'd like a workaround.

I'll second the tab issue.  Pretty annoying but small irritant.  I don't copy/paste phone numbers so can't speak to that but please fix the tab issue.
