Re: Bulk charges via CSV?

Is it possible to make charges via CSV? I have a bunch of physical forms that I need to collect payment for - these forms contain CC numbers and approved payment amounts. Can I convert this to a CSV file to bulk issue the charges?

Hey @SHOA. If I’m understanding your question correctly, there is no way to do this currently in Square. Having said that, it is possible that I’m overlooking something. So, it would help a lot if you would be more specific about why you are doing this, how you collected all of this information, etc. Even if Square itself doesn’t have something, a third-party might. But it would help a lot for us to understand your big picture here.

@TheRealChipA I am helping out a company who used physical forms to collect information regarding a new gate entry system. If a person wanted the new gate entry device, they had to come in, fill out a physical form, of which contained the credit card information of that individual, and the authorized amount (all are varied due to the number and type of gate entry devices they have). Now I have 500+ physical sheets that I would like to input into a CSV and then bulk upload & process the charges.

@SHOA Ah. Thank you for the very clear explanation. Unfortunately, this is not possible with Square. Or maybe I should say there is no such mechanism that is publicly disclosed. Just in case there is a secret thing I am not aware of, I’m going to tag a few Square moderators. They can either correct me (after checking with the engineers) or confirm this.
