BUG - 'Send Payment Link' option in virtual terminal issue

When in virtual terminal you enter a payment amount then click 'send payment link' (after entering customer's phone #) it sends the link to the customer BUT the screen is stuck on infinitely loading and no confirmation is shown that the link was ever sent. This is super confusing and obviously a bug.

Square support was useless; they did not care.

So here I am reporting this bug. The expected functionality for once you send the payment link is that it 1) displays visual confirmation that it was sent & 2) there should be an option to close the screen and return to the virtual terminal/dashboard (right now it's infinitely loading!)
