Archived Invoices – Always Showing "You Canceled This Invoice" Even When Someone Else Did It

Hi Square Team,

 

In my Square account, each team member has their own login under the same business account. However, when I go to Archived Invoices and check canceled invoices, it always says "You canceled this invoice" — even when one of my colleagues actually canceled it.

This makes it impossible for me to know who really canceled the invoice, so I can’t follow up or understand the reason behind the cancellation. I believe this is a serious issue for businesses that rely on team accountability.

Can you please let me know:

 

  1. Is there a way to see which team member canceled an invoice?

  2. If not, can this be added as a feature or shown clearly in the activity log?

I don't have any other team members set up, so when I got archived and canceled invoices, it says the same as you and I can't dig around for anything else there. That is a great idea though, to be able to have a better bread crumb trail from the activity log on who sent/canceled the invoice.  

 

When a team member creates an invoice, does the activity log happen to show which team member creates it or no?

 

If no, then I think for the time being, I would have your team members just add their initials to the invoice somewhere maybe in the notes section, and that way it will give you a starting point to got o to see why it as canceled.

Please look at the previous email.  I am logged in as Sekhrob Ramizov.  I had my associate Ibragim cancel this invoice while I stood next to him.  But as you can see it says I was the one who cancelled it not Ibragim.  Why?  I need this changed so as to see who canceled an invoice and I can follow up with them why they did so.  Thank you.

Ahh I see.  I am not sure if that is possible to do.  I completely understand where you are coming from when having team members under one business, there should be something in the activity log of who did what and when they did it and simply not just "the business".  

 

I think the best way would be to create a feature requests in the Ideate section.  You can copy and paste this information you provided here.  I think its a really good idea that should be implemented
