Accidentally hit Cash during Checkout

A customer paid with his credit card but during check out, our employee pushed cash. Will this still go through? It hasn't shown up yet to be deposited.

Hi @dnrdetailing!

 

If the employee hit "cash" instead of "contactless" then the reader wouldn't have known to engage the customer's card.

 

We've had this situation many times before! Ideally your employee would have "refunded" the cash transaction and then processed the transaction again this time engaging the reader to take payment from your customer.

 

If the reader wasn't engaged and there wasn't a registered tap/insert then...unfortunately I don't think payment was taken.

 

If I'm misunderstanding the situation, please clarify so we can try to ensure you get paid!
