Variations with same options

Hi...I desperately need help! I'm in an item I'm trying to list and I have added an Option: Color Option 1 and I want to create a Color Option 2 with the same color choices. When I complete the list and hit Done it won't let me continue. Is there a way to have 2 of the same options?

@ForeveChristina Each option has to have a unique name or it will flag it.  What I have done for say a soup of the day is:  Secret Recipe Chili & Secret Recipe Chili!  .

I have 2 options on my soup of the day, but I don't always have 2 different soups.  I don't want to have to re-edit every single time, so I use the one as a placeholder.  So if you want 2 color options, I would name them:  Color Choice 1, & Color Choice 2 where you would have:  Blue,  Blue2, Red, Red2, etc etc.

This might take care of it for you.

That sounded like a great idea and I just tried it but unfortunately it gave me the same message. It tried to create 240 something variations combining all the color options. Any ideas on how do I stop that?

Since you are creating 240 (+/-) Variations that might be the Problem.  Square use to limit Variations for the Website to about 120 variations.  You may have to Create more Items based on Colors.

Since your not giving examples I will use T-shirts.

T-shirt   (item)   240 Variations in all shades of color would not work on a website.

Category T-shirts

     Sub Categories Blue T-shirts

                     In this category you may have 50 or 60 variations of Blue T-shirts by size and shades of blues which would work

Repeat this for all you other Colors.
