We just upgraded to the newest Square Stand. Running Square for Retail.
"Skip receipt screen" is toggled OFF
But.... customers do not see the receipt screen during checkout.
Please help!
@TheRealChipA, any idea who I can flag if this is a potential bug?
I think this problem automatically resolved itself. Employees no longer mentioning it.
Interesting follow-up:
I downloaded the Square POS app. It DID pull up the receipt screen during checkout.
I closed the Square POS app.
I opened the Square for Retail app.
Now the Square for Retail app pulls up the receipt screen during checkout.
No idea how one triggered the other.... but I'm glad it's working now.
Update 2:
Customer pays by cash: receipt screen shows
Customer pays by card or Apple Pay: no receipt screen shows
We'd like everyone to have the option to get a receipt...
Maybe the Retail app needed to be closed and reopened to "refresh" the updated setting for receipt screen?
I was about to say that we use the square retail app on our square stand with iPad and it is set up just like you said with the skip receipt screen toggled off, and it shows the receipt options for both card and cash payments.
So all I can surmise is that when you updated the settings closing the app and reopening it must have refresh those settings.
