Hi, I'm having an issue with my Square Terminal. It started updating, but then it lost the Wi-Fi connection and now it's showing an error and won't let me do anything. What can I do to fix this?

Based on your description, it sounds like your terminal may be frozen on an error message. If you're confident there are no pending payments on the device, you can try restarting it:
1. Press and hold the power button and release as soon as you see the Restart option.
2. Tap Restart. If you hold the power button down too long and see a black screen with a countdown timer, immediately release the power button before the timer goes to 0. If you don’t, this will Factory Reset your Square Terminal instead of restarting it.
If the device remains frozen or unresponsive, press and hold the power button continuously until the Terminal enters the Factory Reset flow.
Before doing this, please make sure you have:
1. Your Wi-Fi network login credentials
2. Your Square login details (device code or email address and password)
