Square Retail POS/Ishida Uni-3 Bar Code Integration

Our butcher shop has an Ishida Uni-3 scale for weighing meats and deli products. I have everything else in my store that has bar codes working but since the codes from the scale is variable in price and weight depending on the item....square can't read them.   What I found is a Type 2 UPC-A barcode.  This contains the PLU and price encoded in the bar-code.  Does Square support Type 2 UPC-a barcode?

As I see this is your first post welcome to the Square Users forum.

To answer your question I recommend reading more from Square to see if your Scale is compatible and if this is the type of Barcode your Scale can print.

Thank you.  I'm one step closer.  The Square POS reads the SKU bar code but not the price.  I'll keep reading and working on it.  Thanks for the quick response.
