We activated the "Real Time Check View" beta just now, and we are noticing some inconsistent behavior that needs to be reported.
Historically, if a menu item with modifiers is selected, and a customer "unselects" a default modifier (for example no lettuce on a burger), the KDS would display "NO" next to the lettuce selection.
With the RTCV beta, the "NO" has disappeared, along with the word "lettuce" on the KDS.
Although the end result is the same (either the words "no lettuce" or the word "lettuce" not appearing at all on the item), we have concern that the grill staff will have issues with the inconsistent behavior between the Square Registers, Handhelds and Online ordering behavior (as it is now inconsistent).
Recommended solution - allow a global setting to either add "no" to a default modifer when unselected on the KDS, or remove the modifier completely from the KDS. This would apply to all platforms and devices.
With this all being said, the staff here immediately LOVED the beta layout on our Registers/Stands. It's awesome!!!
