Query about online and in person stores

Hi all

 

Is it possible to have ONE store with ONE inventory range that could be for sale at the same time both online and in person?  And using the barcode feature when in person as I believe that is now free to use?  

 

We are a NFP and we want to run an online store of items for sale but we also do fundraising events where we would also like to have our in person store selling much the same items.  For example, if someone buys from our in person store, the person scans the bar code and completes the transaction which also results in the inventory count for that item to go down by one for both in person and online options.  So ten items in total.  A person buys in person, amount goes down to 9.  Person buys online, amount goes down to 8.

 

Hope I've explained that clearly and it makes sense.  Is this possible?  How should we go about it?

Hi @SageCat Unless I'm missing something in your questions above, what you describe IS the say that Square works with our Online Stores and POS, as long as you only have one item catalog, one online store and POS that are tied to that one location.  There should be no issue with setting up your catalog, POS and store, setting initial inventory counts and it should all work automatically from these.

 

Is there some reason that you are concerned that it would not work this way, or specific concern(s) you have?
