i want to offer customer a free dessert when they purchase a drink and food bundle. After each transaction is completed and the receipt prints, I would like an additional slip of paper to print with the FREE coupon for the dessert. They can choose to use it after eating or bring it next time. it would only print if they chose the said bundle. Is this possible?
Great promo idea! At the moment, Square doesn’t have a native feature to automatically print a second, separate coupon slip based on specific items or bundles being purchased.
However, there are a few workarounds you could use:
Option 1 – Text on the receipt
You can add a custom message to your receipts (Settings → Receipt) that only applies to a specific location or time period, such as:
“This receipt is redeemable for a FREE dessert upon your next visit with a drink + food bundle purchase.”
It won’t be conditional, but it does get the offer in the customer’s hand.
Option 2 – Use a separate printer + manual trigger
Some businesses use a second receipt printer for promos and manually tap a custom button/comp item that triggers the print when the bundle is chosen.
Option 3 – Use a loyalty or coupon integration
If you’re using Square Loyalty or have a POS integration, you could set up an automated reward that is issued when that specific bundle is purchased.
Right now, conditional dual receipt printing isn’t built-in, but using receipt messaging or loyalty rewards is the closest solution.
Hope that helps!!!
