On hand

I run a T-shirt printing business. I press orders as they come in  I have a limited number of transfers on hand. I would like to set up a back end inventory of the transfers so that when a shirt is sold it automatically adjusts the quantity of transfers I have on hand. How can I do this?

Hi @Dbullemer.  More information is necessary before continuing here.  Are your transfers set up as modifiers, variations or something else?

@Dbullemer ;

The best way to do this would be as a Bundle, Bundles would track your shirt Size and color along with your Iron on.

  1.  Variation way
    1.  Have item with the Shirt Color and Size as an item
    2. The the Variation would be the Iron on
    3. Problem with this method is that if the Variation of the Iron on sells out in a different color size option you will still not know.
    4. More about Variations and Modifiers : 5119-create-and-manage-item-modifiers  , 6689-item-options
    5. Options can be set to create multiple Variations at once for an Item such as Size or your Iron ons
  2. Bundle way
    1. You again would need to create a Bundle for Each variation you offer (shirt color, Size and Iron on)
    2. With this method you name the bundle as you wish and Choose items for the bundle.  When an item sells out all bundles with that item are marked as sold out.
    3. Bundles are more time consuming to set up
    4. here is more on Bundles : 8057-create-managing-bundles-with-square-for-retail

Hope this helps.
