Ugh. Light mode should be banned completely IMO. 🙂
A couple of ideas for you:
-You mentioned you went to the dashboard to switch light and dark modes, but have you done this from the device itself? More -> Settings -> Checkout. The Dark mode switch is at the top of this screen.
-You may have been lumped into the new Modes feature rollout on your device. I've been seeing a few issues with settings not sticking because of this. When you go to More -> Settings, at the top of the left column is there a new section talking about Modes? If so, tap on it and switch to a Square for Restaurants mode. You should be able to enable the dark screen after that.
Let us know if this doesn't fix things and we'll keep troubleshooting!
There is no MORE - SETTINGS - CHECKOUT Dark Mode Switch. We are using Square for Restaurants on the iPads we just got less than a year ago.
Also there is no MORE - SETTINGS with MODES either.
Any other ideas?
@ryanwanner is right on the money, the restaurants app has it's own dark mode. He beat me to this one! If it keeps up, we can always do a post in beta to bring it up. What hardware are you running this on? ipad? register?
We are using the Square for Restaurants App - on iPads we got less than a year ago. No DARK mode settings anywhere on the iPad or in the back office anywhere that I can locate.
Were you able to get dark mode @TavernLOZ ? Like @Donnie-M said, we may need to reach out to Beta here.
