Help - My Conversational modifiers (add, extra, sub, no, allergy) no longer show

I no longer have these button on my screen.

Hello @NYPDIdaho !

 

I can think of a couple of reasons these may have disappeared.

 

-The Conversational Modifiers are based by modifier group and won't show on the screen unless the item has that modifier group selected. Verify that your items have that modifier group and the Conversational Modifiers selector is enabled at the bottom of that modifier edit screen.

 

-Conversational Mods are only available on the Square for Restaurants platform. If somehow you loaded the regular Square Point of Sale that's why you're not seeing them. You also may have gotten caught up in the new Modes release. If you're using the regular Point of Sale, tap More -> Settings and see if you see a modes section at the top. You can switch to a Square for Restaurants mode here.

Hello @ryanwanner 

 

I think we have gotten caught up in the new modes release. I was able to change the modes setting but that did not help. 

 

Also I have verified that the Conversational Modifiers is enabled. 

 

It was working yesterday morning, but by the afternoon it was gone. 

 

We are on ver 6.65.01 square for restaurants.

@NYPDIdaho  Glenn, that Modes launch has been finding some random things, sorry you got caught up in it. 😞 (cc: @Marco )

 

If it was working before and just stopped, I'm betting something wonky happened during the update. Try signing out of the app, force closing the app, restarting your device, and signing back in (email or device code). That should force the app to phone home and reload all your settings. Also make sure your device's OS is fully updated as well.

@ryanwanner Well that did not work. We have the Square POS Terminal.  I signed out and then signed back in.

@NYPDIdahoHmmm.... yeah something isn't quite right definitely, and I'm out of ideas. 😞 I'd recommend contacting customer support at this point unless @Marco has any other ideas.

@NYPDIdaho, Could you please confirm which Square device you are using with the Square for Restaurants POS? I noticed you mentioned the Square POS Terminal; are you referring to this Square Terminal?
