Why can’t I route a menu to a kitchen KDS? That seems like such a logical thing. I can’t seem to route items the way I need to with Square and it’s making running my business quite the challenge.
Hey there @snowpacktaproom.. Currently, that is just not possible -- at least not using menus. However, you can set up your items and KDS to use what are called "kitchen routing categories." You could create one of these categories and put all items that are on a menu into that category. Then set up the KDS to filter orders that belong that that category. Here's a link to the help documentation for doing this.
Otherwise, you can submit a feature request here asking for routing by menu. The team will consider it.
