Solved: Re: Issue Store Credit to Customers

I wanted to offer our customers store credit for bringing in their second-hand magazines. Does Square offer a way to issue credit under a customer's email address? If not, can someone recommend an option that may be easier than issuing a printed coupon/voucher?

We use the Square Terminal.

Hey there @DeSmetTrading. Currently in Square, this is not possible — at least not the way you want it to be possible. You could, if you want, give the customer e-gift cards for the credit amount. Keep in mind that gift card load fees would still apply — 2%, I believe.

Otherwise, you can head over to the Square App Marketplace and check out third-party apps for “store credit.” Two pop up immediately — Pintuna and Loopz. Both have monthly subscription fees, but it sounds like the lowest tier might work for your needs.

The app is tightly integrated with the Square POS system. We have Square sellers that run gently loved clothing stores and they offer store credits to customers for their clothes that can then be used for purchases of other clothes in-store or online.
