Inventory issue - and why is CS so awful

Ive been trying to talk to someone this morning about an inventory issue using their CS chat. It isn't very good. They are clueless and bounced me around for 45 MINUTES before I just gave up and left.

I use the template they have to add inventory. I put the quantity under "New Quantity Retronation" as the square template has this column, and as I was directed by the god-awful staff. When I upload. The quantity does not get updated, forcing me to spend hours manually adding it one item at a time.

This is insane. How is Square still in business with antiquated software like this?

I just want to add my inventory in one shot. I can't even bulk change inventory. Even eBay lets you do that.

I'm trying one last shot here on this forum since you can't call them anymore either (which is insane) if this doesn't work. I'm going to the competition as it is starting to look like Square just doesn't care.

Where's the inventory count? oh yeah...it just never shows up.

Hi @DeanMartinetti.. So this is a long shot, but it's more than worth a try.  I notice in your second screen shot that the variation name field is blank.  In my dealings with bulk upload of the item catalog, that the import function can get squarely if that field is blank.  If you don't have multiple variation names -- and if you were using the dashboard's "add form," it would default the variation name to "Regular."  I would try that and see what happens.

I say this because a few days ago I was helping another seller with a different issue, but which was solved once the variation name was "Regular."  More often than not, this "fix" has done the trick.  Let me know the results, please.
