Hi, @sacredheart926 ! I'm so sorry for the frustration. I'm going to list some troubleshooting steps. If these do not work, please let me know and I will escalate to our ecommerce team.

  1. Check Item Location Settings:

    • Go to your Square Dashboard
    • Make sure the items are assigned to the correct location
    • Items must be assigned to a location that's connected to your online store
  2. Verify Online Store Settings:

    • Go to Items > Item Library
    • Click on the specific item
    • Under "Online Store" section, make sure:
      • The item is enabled for your online store
      • The location selling the item matches your online store location
  3. Try This Fix:

    • Go to the item in your Square Dashboard
    • Toggle the online sync setting OFF
    • Save the changes
    • Wait 30 seconds
    • Toggle it back ON
    • Save again
    • Refresh your browser
  4. Additional Troubleshooting Steps:

    • Clear your browser cache and cookies
    • Unpublish and republish your site
    • Try using a different browser
    • Make sure you're using the latest version of the Square app if you're on mobile
      • Check that your Square account has no pending updates

I hope this helps!

It has been resolved after countless going back and forth with them. I am a website developer by trade, I explained to them that it was an error on their backend part of the website. Only reason I decided to go with square online because they directly sync the items to the website. Otherwise I would have just stuck to the website that I had built.

I am having the same issues as the poster of this thread.  New products and even categories are not showing up on my website.  I can see them in my Square Register but not online.  I have trouble shooted everything that has been suggested above and more.  Please help.  My website is a huge part of our business model for pick up and local delivery. We open our new brick and motar next week.  I have emailed for help and got a canned response that has nothing to do with my issues.

Can you please correct this issue I had an item set for my online store and showed up yesterday and now today the toggle is off on the item.... why am I paying so much money for something that doesn't work properly?

@sacredheart926 - My experience is that that is a common problem that pops up randomly. Because I do not do a weekly scour of my website to compare what is and what is not visible, it is only through casual accident that I discover when items are missing/incorrectly displayed, however I am fairly confident that there is an issue at all times on my website. (Luckily my main business is in-store retail).

I too am an engineer and it is more than clear that there are frontend/backend DB sync issues, meaning that as users, there is no way to actually 'fix' the underlying issue, and in the many cases, and forum threads that I have raised, Square does not acknowledge this fault, so ...yea. I have found that republishing the website (yes, the whole website) and toggling the visibility and/or sales channels on and off seems to kick it back into shape, but clearly this is not ideal.

I know it is so frustrating! and Now I look at my website just now and it says this store is not accepting payments which is a new thing I have never seen before. I too do a lot of my business in store but in todays world customers look on the website to see if we have what they are looking for before they come in. Just super frustrating!!!!
