How to add more item details to a custom Order?

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "How can I create a very configured order?"

I hand make pens and other lathe turned items so each item is unique.  I see where orders can be scheduled to be picked up but I cannot find a way to write a uniquely descriptive order to be shipped upon completion.  I basically need the ability to enter contact and shipping information as well as a detailed description of the item being purchased.  Currently I handwrite out in an order book.  Because each item is different I created my items as prices rather than description so I cannot select a specific item and schedule for pick up later, it would not be descriptive enough.

Thank you

Rick

When someone comes to the counter to order, you can select Add Customer.  Then you can fill in their details, Name, Address, phone etc. Then you can choose In-store and tap Shipment to create an order.  You can add your item (price) to this then select the customers name, and edit their information to add a note of what they are requesting.

I hope this gets you close to what your wanting to do.   We do a combination of this and the Paper note pade thing for our customers.  We take thier address and Phone number in Square by adding the customer, but then their custome features colors etc, we do on an order pad so we can keep 1 copy wen we are making the item, give the customer a copy of the notes we have, and keep the original in the Order Pad.

Thank you Keith, This is what I am looking for.  The biggest problem is when I have the person write their contact info down I can’t read it when I go to ship two weeks later.
