Headers within Item Library

Hi All, 

 

Not sure if this is a me issue or general issue but since the formatting change on the Item Library page, it frustratingly doesn't remember the column headings selected to display and constantly returns to the default. Every time you come in and out of the page you have to re-add or hide any columns you don't want displayed. 

 

Usually I amend the columns to show item costs and it stays on screen, now even if I search another product it disappears again and I have to re-select by clicking on the "+" on the right hand side. Is this the case for everyone or is something wrong with my Square specifically?

Thanks for letting us know you’re having some trouble with your dashboard filters.


I’ve gone ahead and tried to replicate what you’ve described by editing the filters, then logging in and out of my account. I also tested the behavior after switching tabs on the dashboard, and after a product search.


In all instances, the filters I’d selected remained when I revisited the Item Library.

 

 

I’d switched from the options above, to the options below, using the + arrow as described in your original post.

 

 

So that I can look into it further, would you mind sharing a short video of what you’re experiencing? That would help me greatly in any discussions I raise with our engineers.

Hi @Sineaid,

 

Short video below (hopefully), showing how every time i switch on to show SKU codes, it disappears each time I do a new product search. The same happens with item costs, (probably the others too but I haven't tested those). I have a lot of products within the system so usually search to find what I'm looking for as it's much quicker than scrolling.

Hi @ReefPassion, I'm taking over Sineaid while she is out of office.

I wasn't able to recreate this behavior on my end either. Before escalating this to our engineering team, could you try the following troubleshooting steps ? This will help us narrow down the potential issue.

 

  • Make sure that your browser is up to date, by searching the Internet for the current version of your browser.
  • Clear the cache on your browser. Instructions for clearing your cache will vary depending on your browser. Accessing the Help menu on your browser should allow you to locate step-by-step instructions.
  • Switch to a different browser: Square is supported with the latest versions of Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge. 
  • Switch to a different device.
  • Enable Cookies.

I was having the same problem - you need to have Cookies enabled for the settings to be stored.
