Seating on KDS

KDS needs seating. Not just displaying seat information but group/sort items together by seat for efficiency. Grouping had been needed on tickets for ever so I would hope they would use this as a push to add seating to KDS and fix seating on printed checks.

I have Square for Restaurants Plus with a Square KDS display set up for the first time. I notice the KDS does not seem to group items by Course or by Seat number, and there doesn't seem to be any way to see this info on the KDS. Am I missing something?

At the moment, displaying coursing is not available with Square KDS. The ticket will just appear as a single ticket (no course breaks). We’re constantly working to improve our features based on feedback like this. I’ll be sure to pass your request off to our Square for Restaurants Product team!

Is there a way for the KDS screen to display seat numbers? It is very hard to plate our tacos when you don't know what tacos go on the same plate.  The Taco's all come in separately and I want to be able to put a seat number to each item.  Can anyone help?

Hi - Is there any ETA on having courses listed on the KDS? Otherwise, having the KDS doesn't seem very helpful at all...

I would also like to know when the coursing and firing features are set to be released. Without these, the functionality is extremely limited. I can get by using it for the expo station, but am constantly asking the chefs what's on what course, which is far from ideal. Without these features, there is no way to use it for the prep side. Please make this a priority!!!

At the moment, we do not have an ETA on when/if this feature will be released but this particular request is on the radar of our Square for Restaurants product team.

Thanks for the update. I’d personally say this is hands-down the #1 thing needed for KDS.
