3 part question
I have a webstore through BigCommerce and using Square for retail in the brick & mortar. I will not be moving my website away from BigCommerce because Square's isn't as robust. Is this statement correct: If I sell a product in store the inventory does not update the BigCommerce Site, but if I sell a product thru the webstore it will update the Square inventory? If this is correct what are the work arounds.
When I import my inventory from BigCommerce to Square, subcategories within BigCommerce do not transfer over. Clothing colors and sizes is where I am struggling with this. Am I doing something wrong?
When new product comes in do I create the item on the BigCommerce site and the export from there or vice versa?
Thank you!
Hi there again @sylviajvincent - Thanks so much for your patience here 🙏
One of the Partnership Managers let me know that the Inventory and Catalog feature of this integration is being deprecated. Instead, we recommend that Sellers use SKU IQ to connect inventory. You can read more about using SKU IQ with your Square account here.
I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.
Hi @sylviajvincent - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Square Seller Community👋
I'm not sure of this answer myself, so I'm going to consult with the Square for Retail team on this one to get the best answer for you. I'll reach back out to you here once I gather more info!
