why cant my costumers check out online

i got my site published but when people go to check out of the cart. a message pops up saying "we are not taking orders at this time. Check back soon". how do i fix this. please someone help

Solution

Hello @arcanepara !

 

That message usually pops up when you have your store not accepting orders.

 

From your Online dashboard, click the top right button. It'll either say Not Accepting Orders in red or Accepting Orders in green. That will lead you to the Checkout screen. Make sure that Accept Online Orders is toggled on and that Square is connected. (It should be by default)

 

If your site is already accepting orders, then something may be up with your settings for fulfillment. Check to make sure your site is configured for whatever fulfillment type you're using (pickup, delivery, or shipping) by checking everywhere under the Fulfillment section on the left.

 

If everything is looking correct here as well, please reply with your website address so we can help troubleshoot further!

I'm having this issue as well (not accepting orders) and can't figure out where the problem is.  I've gone back through the set-up for the 3rd time to make sure I'm going through all the steps and nothing is helping.  Please help, this is so frustrating....

Hello. Same Issue. When I click on the Shop Now button, it takes you to the checkout but it says "Not Available". Everything seems to be correct. Please help.

We are sorry to hear you are having some issues. What web browser are you using? After you click "place order" it freezes and nothing happens. Is that correct?

I just worked through this with Square support and they said it was a known bug that engineering was working on. Hopefully they'll have a fix soon.
