Can you remove the floating add to cart button on the mobile version of the site?
I've seen messages about it since 2022 and promise it was being addressed, but then the discussion was closed off.i would love to put it back in a position where the customers expect it to be and not blocking other text/images/content.
Hi @geoffh — thanks so much for your patience!
I checked with the Square Online Team, and they confirmed that the floating button is working as expected and is part of the responsive theme workflow. Right now, the only customization available for the buy button is the size and style. Anything beyond that would fall under a feature request.
I understand this isn’t the ideal solution, and I really appreciate your understanding as we work within these limitations.
Hey @geoffh – I know waiting for a feature to be implemented can be frustrating, and I’m happy to look into this.
Just to make sure I understand, you don’t want the “Add to Cart” button to block off the text like it does in this picture, correct?
Correct. I'd like the option to put it wear I think most customers expect it... just under the price information.
I understand the world is always evolving and we may like the floating button later. - so making it an option would be nice (but not essential nor important to me at this time).
I'd like the option to put a fixed button where I think most customers expect it... just under the price information.
I think the Place Order button needs to float like this also or move it to top. My customers can’t find it at the bottom of the screen. Where would the add to cart button be if not on the screen?
