not allowing me to add stock

Im trying to add stock to my listing, it says save first which i do and then its searches for recent stock (which there's none of) the circle goes round and round and then says its unable to retrieve please try again.

i just want to add stock to my item.

Hi @vickylousdesign, thanks for flagging this. 

 

I'd like to go through the steps you are taking first. Where are you adding the stock from? 

 

Square Dashboard > Items

or

Square Online Dashboard > Items > Site items

 

Inventory should sync automatically between Square and your online site. Sometimes it can take a few minutes for this to be updated.

 

If it has been more than 24 hours and the inventory is still not updating, would you mind sharing a few screenshots showing the the stock you are trying to add and the error message you are getting, that way I'll have a better understanding of the issue.

Hello Breffni

 

I am also having a stock issue, but I cannot seem to add a picture.

 

The error message says:

 

ERROR ADDING STOCK

unable to add stock at this time, please check network connection.

 

Everything else is working fine, just a few select items.

Hi Tara, thanks for flagging this. 

 

It sounds like you may be experiencing a network error or that your connection is not strong enough to upload the image, it's possible that those images are larger in pixels than the ones that uploaded successfully. 

Could you try again with a different device/internet connection?

It's not images we cannot upload.

We cannot add stock when we receive it.

From the browser it's fine

But we should be able to use the app because this is what we use for our POS and have done for 9 months, and we have never had an issue.

Day to day we cannot add stock, items show as sold out even though they are in stock, and when we add items on the browser version, they don't show in the app. 

Are we missing an update or a Retail update?

It sounds like there are a few things happening there. 

 

The updates from the Dashboard not reflecting in the app usually come down to outdated software on the app, so please check the app store regularly for updates.  

 

If both of these issues continue, please run through these troubleshooting steps and then reach out to our support team directly, they will be able to do some testing with both in real-time. @oldbankcoffee
