My website has duplicate categories that are empty but in Dashboard- site categories it has the correct number of categories, all with items. I'm not sure how to delete the duplicate, empty categories on the website itself. Thanks.
@AspireP Square has been working on integrating online categories with the point of sale categories more and more, but they are still handled differently. You can copy your point of sale categories over to your website now, but the same isn't true of categories made on the website. The website is more flexible to allow you to market or group items more freely or in multiple categories. The point of sale categories allow you to dedicate printing to different printer stations and track item groups more effectively.
For the website go to items ---- > Site Categories -----> Far Right 3 Dots (when you hover over with the mouse) will allow you to delete or hide the categories you don't need.
This is frustrating me so much! I want to integrate with different apps with the promise of seamlessly adding items from drop shippers or other retailers into my site, ready to be seen on my website. But no. They will only be added to my dashboard and I still have to manually add these items one by one if I want them on my website. This is insane! I will have to go to shopify.
Thanks for posting, @mfjcreative 👋
I'm not super familiar with all of the available apps you can use with Square Online, but I'm happy to look into this further for you. Can you let us know the apps you are referring to, and what the expectation was?
I'll be on the lookout for your reply!
I use Faire and Printful. When I connect to these, there is an option to sync with my square inventory. It does that. However, they do not show in my online inventory. I don't understand why these are separate, but if there was just a box I could check, in bulk preferably, to add to my online inventory, I'd be very happy.
