We sell books.
Previously we've been using the POS App on a tablet at our shop and at stalls.
It is essential for identification to have a cropped square image for each item, otherwise the title is often cropped out.
We are now looking at Online.
I get that when I set up 'online' all the square cropped images synced across to the online pages.
These are no good for the online shop where I want 2:3 aspect ratio to show the entire cover.
I untoggled 'sync item'.
Yet when I replaced the square image with a 2:3 one in Online it transferred on to the POS Dashboard.
I have tried altering the POS Dashboard and it also still syncs to the Online.
Am I doing something wrong?

I've done some testing on my account, and appears that item images will always sync between Square Online, and Square Point of Sale. I'm sorry for the hassle here, as I can see how having different images, and image ratios is important for the nature of your business.
