A few clients but not all when receive a receipt it shows on their bank statements a different business and it’s not mine ..
This business showing on their statements use to be located 2 doors down so is it just cause of the location
Hi @MyaLynn1 - I'm sorry to hear that this issue with your customers' receipts has brought you to the Seller Community.
Sometimes the geo-location on the digital receipt can be incorrect. I have heard the wrong business displayed on the digital map but not on an actual bank statement before 🤔 I suggest starting out by checking your receipt settings first here in your Dashboard. If the business address is incorrect, scroll down to the Business section at the bottom of the page and click edit details.
I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.
Everything on my end is correct so I’m not sure how this is happening but it’s only the ones that have bought something from this other business 2 doors down ..
Hi there again, @MyaLynn1 👋
I'm sorry, I am confused by this part: "It’s only the ones that have bought something from this other business 2 doors down... "
Do you mean the only customers who are seeing this on their bank statement are customers who have already purchased from this other business in the past?
I'll keep an eye out for your reply!
Yes but that shouldn’t happen at all when my business has nothing to do with them … their business should not appear anywhere in my business transactions
Hey @MyaLynn1 I'm happy to shed some light here! Are your customers seeing this when making payments via Apple Pay, or Google Pay? This sometimes happens because digital cards can pick up nearby businesses when a payment is made. Even though the wrong business name might be displayed when they look at their payment history in their wallet, their actual bank statement will show your business name. This is due to the digital payment method being used, rather than your Square settings.
